I ask myself “Why?” Everytime I Iook at the cathedral because I know I have to draw it again one day. It’s one of those designs that is nearly impossible to draw from another angle… I guess I like challenges….
The idea behind the cathedral’s shape is that it can’t look like a normal church. I wanted it to have a cult-like vibe; as if something other than god was worshipped there. I also decided to give a few trees an unnatural color to match the equally unusual orange sky.
My favorite part of this page has nothing to do with the cathedral, however. It would have to be the anime lightning effects on Agent Udina. In fact, I think I find effects to be one of the more entertaining aspects when drawing a page.
